Day 1 - Santa Monica, CA, lots of interesting folks in Santa Monica and on the pier. For example a woman shouting, "Snakes on a Pier, Snakes on a Pier!!" Which of course attracted all the guys, the girls were all thinking, ohhh how gross. For a small fee you can hold the snakes and get your photo taken.

I enjoyed seeing the Venice Beach area, riding on the Ferris wheel on the Santa Monica pier, walking around town seeing all the beautiful and weird people and the random birds in the open air hallway leading to our hotel room. I also noticed that everyone had little tiny dogs.
I did have a brief meltdown at the LA airport. My first time at that airport and probably my last. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
