Halloween, kimono and Moo Cards

Holiday themed cards are always fun to make, I expecially love to make Halloween cards!

I will be demonstarating how to fold an Origami kimono and incorpoorate it into a collage card at the Fredericksburg Center for Creative Arts (FCCA) Fredericksburg, VA meeting next week. I belong to the newly formed mixed media art club, if you live in the area come and join the club. http://www.fccava.org/

I also ordered some MOO cards http://www.moo.com/ using art work from my cards and photographs. These are great mini business cards and used for trading with other artists.

Studio is a mess

I ran out of space to work in my studio, then I opened the closet and it was empty. How amazing is that? I bought some closet organizers and discovered I also needed to take the closet doors off in order to pull out the drawers of the organizers. I have plans to work all day Saturday and Sunday to organize my studio. I also want to set up my sewing machine so I can sew stuff (not sure what yet) on my cards.

Omaha

I went to Omaha to visit my parents. I always make sure I have time to visit the Old Market. I love the old brick warehouse buildings. There was an art car show that I just happened upon. What fun. One of the cars dentures glued on it, yuck.

Fabulous Heart fatbook

Here is the completed Heart fatbook. What a wonderful art project. The finished book is so colorful and fun. I would definately join a fatbook swap again!
